Summary The role of Joint Use Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring that Mainstreams network meets utility requirements for pole submissions/ coordinate with outside vendors/ manage subordinates. Additionally, the Joint Use Coordinator will be the “go to” for the other Field Engineers. The Joint Use Coordinator will report directly to the Lead Joint Use Coordinator. The Joint Use Coordinator will have the final authority on the completion of project permitting / verification of all documentation, and its ultimate release to be sent to the correct internal / external departments. Role and Responsibilities - Monitor permitting progress, oversee scheduling to ensure MSFN receives documentation in a timely manner from vendors. • Assign daily tasks to subordinates
- Coordinate closely with the Engineer to ensure design plans are understood and followed.
- Ensure adherence to construction maps and designs
- Safety rules and practices from all governing authorities are monitored closely and enforced
- Understand and implement local construction methods and procedures as required
- Review permits and Right-Of-Way (ROW) considerations and requirements
- Conduct sites surveillance of current and proposed sites, with approved quality plans, ensure procedures, and processes are followed while on sites
- Ensure compliance with customer and Industry Specifications prior to and after constructions
- Maintain records and prepare reports
- Other related duties as assigned
- Must be able to document work being completed in the field while at a site and or while in office
- Provide daily updates to Engineering Manager on overall safety, quality, and production
- Perform reviews of documentation provided by inspectors, Engineers, and Drafters prior to being submitted to outside vendors.
- Perform safe Traffic management while on sites
- Performs other duties as assigned by leadership over and above listed in the job description
- Train staff / coordinate safety refresher (toolbox talk 10-15mins)

Qualifications and Education Requirements - High School Diploma or equivalent education, required
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics preferred
- Must have experience with Aerial Fiber Construction, Underground Fiber Construction, via
directional boring, trenching, and plowing. |
