Currently, our Navy Aviation Division is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Engineer III to join our team in the Crane, IN. This is a Part-time, onsite position.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Prepares electrical design drawings, calculations, and specifications to accompany design models generated on electrical engineering design software (e.g. AutoCAD)
Responsible for designing the generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of electric power, and the electrical apparatus connected to such systems for low voltage and medium voltage as well as the necessary monitoring
Review design (e.g., calculations, analyses, drawings, specifications) to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards
Establish project roles and responsibilities of internal and external participants to facilitate project completion
Develop plans and make written and oral presentations to various interested personnel on program status, technical problems, scheduling, and costs
You will develop project plans (e.g., engineering design and construction project) to include work requirements, resource needs, execution schedules and acquisition plans
Provide Quality Assurance review of Electrical Engineering documents
Compose technical correspondence to communicate designs, plans, and objectives to management officials, staff, and customers
Monitor and review commissioning of electrical systems for multiple projects
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or electrical engineering with a minimum 10 years’ experience working with AutoCAD, machining, power engineering and control systems
Experience in providing engineering support to the NSWC Crane Weapons Division in support of research and development related projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Power Engineering - HVAC/HVDC, Microgrids, and associated Control Systems, AutoCAD, Machining, Manufacturing, Mechanical Systems
Proven ability to communicate well in written and verbal communications
Ability to Design thinking for product inventions and enhancements
Experience providing Motivation and commitment to providing interpersonal customer service
Proven ability applying current industry standards and information
Experience using soft skills including a positive attitude, flexibility and conflict resolution
Proven ability to solve problems creatively on time
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required an an active Secret Clearance. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.
Physical Requirements:
Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as the copy machine/computer printer.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
