MANTECH seeks a motivated and adaptable Director, Change Management to support enterprise-wide changes in Herndon, VA. This is a hybrid position and will require on-site presence.

The Change Manager will help guide transformational efforts by leading change strategies that prioritize communication, engagement, and readiness. This role supports enterprise-level change across people, processes, and technology, helping ensure smooth transitions through strategic planning and collaboration.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


In this role, you will lead and execute change management activities to drive successful adoption of new processes and systems:

  • Develop and execute change management plans related to projects impacting people, technology, and operations

    • Conduct overall change assessments, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategy

    • Define tasks and schedules, deliver status reports, and monitor success metrics

    • Coordinate training efforts and oversee readiness assessments

    • Lead creation and delivery of change communication materials and training

    • Manage risk assessments, change impact analyses, and gap identification

  • Partner with business leaders, and subject matter experts to assess organizational readiness and mitigate risks

  • Develop and implement structured change strategies to minimize resistance and maximize user adoption

  • Drive consistent and engaging communications across leadership tiers and departments

  • Support go-live activities, user trainings, and transition plans

  • Evaluate current and future business processes to determine change impacts

  • Deliver high-quality, tailored communications in a timely and accurate manner

  • Consult on and lead change readiness activities throughout project lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years, or Master’s degree with 6+ years, of experience in project or organizational change management

  • Previous experience supporting enterprise-wide projects

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a team-oriented mindset to foster collaboration and build trust.

  • Strong leadership skills to motivate teams, gain stakeholder buy-in, and the ability to lead with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.

  • Effective time management, multitasking capabilities, and proficiency in Google/MS Office tools (e.g., strong documentation abilities).

  • Strong analytical thinking and sound problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prosci or CCMP certification

  • Deep familiarity with the Prosci ADKAR model

  • Prior experience driving large-scale business or technology change in utility environments

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
