MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist to join our DTSS team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement data science capabilities to achieve client mission goals. You will collaborate with a team of data analysts, data engineers, and data architects to leverage data engineering, data science, data analytics, data architecture, and AI/ML to deliver client solutions. The ideal candidate will have solid data science skills, a firm understanding of data analytics, and a client-oriented approach to applying technology to develop mission-ready data products that accelerate operational decision-making, enhance situational awareness, and improve mission effectiveness. This is a fully remote opportunity.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop data pipelines that ingest, prepare, and deliver data from data sources that feed data products.

• Assist in developing and deploying machine learning and AI models to analyze complex datasets to forecast trends, identify potential risks, and optimize strategic planning.

• Conduct statistical analysis, data mining, and modeling to derive valuable, data-driven insights and real-time recommendations for decision-making.

• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI to effectively communicate program performance, KPIs, and complex data trends to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing in a data scientist role

• Experience developing predictive models

• Understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., Python, SQL)

• Experience with Power BI

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a public sector consultant

• Experience with AWS

Security Clearance Requirements:

• US citizenship with a Secret level clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel (10% or less)

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer

• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
