MANTECH seeks a visionary and results-driven Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the TGS Lightspeed MBSE Development project. This is a remote-friendly role based out of Herndon, VA, where you will serve as the primary technical authority and strategic lead for a Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (PLEO) network.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Directing the end-to-end development of the Lightspeed MBSE architecture and ensuring the seamless integration of multi-domain models into a unified digital source of truth.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating programmatic and technical risks while leading a "middle-out" modeling strategy to infer logical layers from high-level technical inputs.
  • Leading Contractor-led Walkthroughs for Service Provider and USSF leadership, acting as the primary technical interface to ensure zero "critical" validation errors.
  • Developing and maintaining integrated master schedules (IMS), budgets, and quality standards using both traditional and Agile methodologies.
  • Ensuring the final architecture natively supports USSF Cameo workflows and the broader DoW digital engineering ecosystem across RF, network, and software segments.
  • Establishing standards for federated modeling and API-based integrations to be replicated across other MANTECH programs.
  • Working with all stakeholders to ensure complete and functioning systems that meet all USSF and DoW digital thread requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer) and 12+ years of progressive experience in complex defense acquisitions.
  • Advanced technical leadership experience managing MBSE programs within the DoD or modern digital thread environments.
  • Specialized depth in systems engineering and MBSE (SysML/Cameo) to validate models across a federated architecture confidently.
  • Proven ability to lead technical development with minimal day-to-day customer support, making high-stakes decisions based on high-level data.
  • Deep expertise in space segments, network topologies, and API-based digital integrations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in technical engineering discipline and OCSMP Level 4 (Model Builder - Advanced) certification.
  • Familiarity with Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) or federated API architecture.
  • Experience managing rapid, iterative execution using agile prototyping or "flex-engineering" frameworks.
  • Self-starter with excellent people skills who can drive change and technical excellence throughout a distributed, multidisciplinary organization.

Clearance Required:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

The projected compensation range for this position is $141,200.00-$223,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
