Full job description
MANTECH seek a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer I to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.
As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter’s effectiveness. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and test software features that optimize resource use and performance

Write clean, efficient code contributing to real-world solutions

Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and iterative delivery

Support the integration of DevSecOps practices to ensure secure and streamlined software deployment
-
Experiment with container technologies like Docker to enhance development and deployment workflows
Minimum Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma
-
0-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area

Basic proficiency in at least one programming language (C, C++, Go, or similar)

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and team collaboration
-
Strong problem-solving skills and a hunger to learn in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
-
Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker or similar tools

Exposure to DevSecOps principles, such as secure coding or CI/CD pipelines

Contributions to personal coding projects, open-source initiatives, or hackathons
-
Excellent communication skills to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic team
Clearance Requirements:

Must have a current and active Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.

Must be able to push, pull, and reach.

Must be able to work in high noise areas.

Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
