Position Type: Full-Time | Outpatient
Schedule: Outpatient Clinical Behavioral Health Therapist located at Memorial Counseling Center, a department of Deaconess Memorial Medical Center and Deaconess Clinic Behavioral Health - Jasper. This position will work 5 days a week. MCC hours are from 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-4pm Friday.

About the Role
We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Outpatient Therapist to join our growing team. This position focuses on outpatient care and plays a vital role in improving access to behavioral health services for the Jasper and surrounding communities. As a licensed therapist, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess Memorial. This position delivers quality individual, family, and group counseling services to patients and their families to determine short-term and long-term treatment needs, as well as meet the patient's social, emotional and psychological needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive intake evaluations, which may include the skilled use of a variety of culturally sensitive mental health assessment tools.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, as well as updates/modifies as appropriate.
- Conducts individual, family, and group counseling services which incorporate evidence-based treatment modalities.
- As needed, performs crisis de-escalation and intervention services in collaboration with appropriate community resources.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions.
- Demonstrates sound clinical judgment in diagnosis and treatment planning and the application of culturally sensitive treatment modalities to diverse patients.
- Adheres to and demonstrates ethically sound clinical decision-making in accordance with established mental health ethics codes and practices within the boundaries of their competence.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical best practices and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work or related field, and licensure in the state of Indiana.
- Experience in outpatient psychiatric setting preferred;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to compassionate care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
