Assuring all food is assembled in a clean, orderly area, while complying with all food codes.
Physical Demands:
Employee must be able to reach, grasp, circular motions of wrists and shoulders, finger/manual dexterity, fine motor skills, bend, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 50# with assistance. Ability to stand or walk most of the day. Employees working in the dish room area and cart transport are expected to transport meal carts several times throughout the day. Must be able to push/pull 150# unassisted. Complete additional duties as assigned (i.e. cleaning of equipment, set-ups for catering events, etc.).

Works in a well-lighted, noisy, often warm area. Must be able to read, be familiar with dietary modifications, and assemble key pieces of equipment (slicers, chopper, etc.). Employee is aware of presentation of food items and the importance of tray presentation in relation to patient satisfaction and compliance to dietary modifications. Exhibits promptness, neatness, creates a service culture and anticipates patient/ team member needs when assembling meals for the room service program. Reflects the mission, philosophy, core values, and customer service plan of Deaconess Memorial Medical Center Center in action and attitude.
