CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineering Designer to join our Generation & Energy Management Team working remotely and lead the design and delivery of complex energy systems and industrial facility projects. This is a unique opportunity to guide emerging talent, partner with multidisciplinary experts, and contribute to projects that improve reliability, sustainability, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract or construction drawings using industry software such as REVIT, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.
  • Collaborate with design teams on multiple projects to meet client, contractual, and company requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Provide direct guidance and supervision to junior designers on project drawing production, ensuring quality and consistency across all project work
  • Examine complex contract documents and drawings for errors, revising as needed to align with contract specifications
  • Support the development of technical reports, material costs, construction estimations, and production schedules
  • Conduct project review meetings and prepare project “As-Builts” documentation

What You Bring:

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science, or related technical field required
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in document production within the engineering discipline required
  • Proficiency in discipline-based software (REVIT, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative work ethic
  • Expert working knowledge of engineering discipline with strong expertise in design drawing layout
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities

Salary Range:

$48.07 - $52.88

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
