NLCS MAINTENANCE/GROUNDS POSITION

Job Title: Maintenance/Grounds

Reports To: Director of Facilities

*2 Positions Available

Summary:

General Description: Performs general maintenance of all NLCS grounds, including lawn care, landscaping, snow removal and trash pick-up.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform general grounds maintenance work; sweep walks and pick up trash.

Trim small trees, hedges and shrubs; assist in keeping assigned areas free from pests and plant diseases.

Rake leaves and remove weeds.

Operate power mowers, riding mowers, power edgers, clippers and hand tools.

Operate small trucks and tractors

Maintain play areas, parking lots, athletic areas, fencing and gates.

Assume responsibility for maintaining school grounds in a safe clean, orderly, and attractive condition.

Handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.

Load, unload, and move heavy furniture, equipment, and/or supplies in buildings and between building locations.

During the winter months assist with custodian work, including lunchroom set up and clean up.

Other duties as assigned within the scope of work.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Possession of a valid driver’s license.
