Elementary Student Council Sponsor

Reports to: Building Principal

An elementary school student council sponsor's job is to coordinate student council activities and help students develop leadership and citizenship skills. Some responsibilities of a student council sponsor include:

• Coordinating activities: Overseeing all student council activities, such as elections, fundraising, and events.
• Supporting students: Helping students develop leadership and citizenship skills by leading the student body and providing opportunities to serve the community
• Planning events: Brainstorming with students about ideas for events and activities throughout the year
• Ensuring safety: Making sure safety precautions are followed during all activities
• Communicating: Communicating effectively with school district and community members
• Promoting events: Advertising and publicizing student council events
