NSTXL is creating an ecosystem of innovators to collaborate and bring next-generation technologies to the end-user. Our OTAs have over 900 members from corporate, non-profit, educational, and financial institutions. For these members, NSTXL offers opportunities to bid on government contracts, education and training, and live/virtual forums on various topics.
The Contract Technical Project Manager (1099) provides hands-on project management leadership for the execution of enterprise technology and digital initiatives working in close partnership with the VP of Technology & Security. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex, cross-functional projects involving business systems, enterprise platforms, and third-party vendors. The Technical Project Manager will lead and support initiatives such as Salesforce, Sage, HR systems, Box, website development, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), DocuSign, and other enterprise application implementations. This role requires strong technical fluency, the ability to manage dependencies across departments, and proven experience driving delivery in fast-paced, matrixed environments. This engagement is intended to provide additional execution capacity, delivery rigor, and stakeholder coordination across multiple concurrent technology initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of assigned technology and enterprise system projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risk registers.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and interdependencies and escalate with clear mitigation strategies.
Deployment and Implementation Support
- Manage enterprise platform implementations, including ERP, CRM, Salesforce, HR systems, CLM, Box, DocuSign, and website/digital platforms.
- Coordinate activities across IT, Security, Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, and external vendors or system integrators.
- Translate business and technical requirements into actionable project plans and workstreams.
- Support configuration, testing, data migration, deployment, and go-live activities.
Cross-Functional & Vendor Management
- Drive cross-departmental collaboration to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, responsibilities, and outcomes.
- Serve as the primary coordination point between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
- Manage vendor deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and issue resolution.
Stakeholder Coordination and Governance
- Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and executive-level updates.
- Provide clear, concise status reporting on progress, risks, decisions, and action items.
- Maintain strong stakeholder alignment and proactively manage expectations.
Change Management & Adoption Support
- Support change management, training coordination, and user adoption activities for system rollouts.
- Ensure operational readiness and a smooth transition from implementation to steady-state support.
Project Controls and Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including charters, schedules, meeting notes, and status reports.
- Apply structured project management methodologies and established documentation standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, tools, and execution practices.
Qualifications Expected for Position
Required experience or expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of project management experience supporting operational or technology-focused initiatives
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting deployment and implementation efforts within complex organizational or technical environments, including coordination across multiple stakeholders, vendors, or integrated systems.
- Experience managing projects involving technology implementations or vendor-supported initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience applying structured project management methodologies and delivery frameworks.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management or tracking tools.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise system implementations or digital platform deployments.
- Experience working in regulated, security-conscious, or compliance-driven environments.
- Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery models.
- Experience supporting SaaS, cloud-based, and enterprise application ecosystems
