Overview

Paragon Force is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Gate Guard to support site access control. This role is critical to the security and daily operations of the facility.

This is a part-time position with a rotating schedule, requiring availability for up to 2 days per week from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM based on coverage needs.

The Gate Guard is responsible for monitoring entry and exit, conducting badge checks, and ensuring all personnel follow proper access procedures. While the role is often quiet, it is essential to remain attentive and responsive at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted entry
• Conduct badge checks and verify credentials in accordance with site requirements
• Maintain situational awareness and promptly report any security concerns
• Follow all site security protocols and customer requirements accurately
• Remain attentive while on duty; personal activities (e.g., reading, knitting, schoolwork) are permitted during downtime, provided they can be immediately paused for gate responsibilities
• Utilize a government-issued computer as needed (note: internet access may be limited and restricted)

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Part-time, rotating schedule based on site needs
• Shifts: 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Up to 2 days per week
• Includes two 10–15 minute paid breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearance prior to start
• Highly dependable and punctual—consistent, on-time attendance is essential
• Ability to remain alert and attentive during extended shifts
• Strong communication and observational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
