Position Summary
Paragon Force, Inc. is seeking a Management Analyst I to support a Department of Defense (DoD) environmental services. This junior-level position provides analytical, operational, financial, and program management support to government customers and project leadership. The Management Analyst I assists in collecting, reviewing, analyzing, and presenting data to support decision-making, operational improvements, resource planning, and program execution.
The successful candidate will evaluate organizational processes, analyze cost and performance data, support business operations, and develop recommendations that improve efficiency and effectiveness within environmental programs and projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect, review, validate, and analyze operational, financial, programmatic, and performance data.
- Support environmental program managers and government stakeholders by providing analytical and decision-support services.
- Assist in identifying operational challenges, process inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Analyze project costs, budgets, schedules, staffing levels, expenditures, and performance metrics.
- Gather information through interviews, observations, records reviews, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Develop reports, spreadsheets, dashboards, and presentations to support management decisions.
- Assist in preparing recommendations for improving organizational effectiveness, operational performance, and resource utilization.
- Support the development of process improvements, standard operating procedures, and management controls.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses using established methodologies and business practices.
- Assist with workload forecasting, manpower planning, cost tracking, and schedule analysis.
- Prepare written reports, findings, recommendations, and briefings for government and contractor leadership.
- Participate in meetings, working groups, audits, inspections, and program reviews.
- Support implementation of approved process improvements and management initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with contract requirements, company policies, and government regulations.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, environmental professionals, operations personnel, and government representatives to support program objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Environmental Management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in engineering management, science management, operations research, financial analysis, cost analysis, program analysis, or a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience collecting, organizing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and written recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal government programs.
- Knowledge of project management, business process improvement, or operational analysis methodologies.
- Experience with budget development, cost tracking, earned value management, or financial reporting.
- Familiarity with environmental services, scientific programs, engineering projects, or regulatory compliance activities.
- Experience using data visualization, reporting, or business intelligence tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in office, laboratory, industrial, and field environments as required.
- Ability to travel occasionally in support of project and customer requirements.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing analytical and administrative tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
