Position Summary

Paragon Force, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Order Library Clerk I to support DoD environmental operations through the management, control, and distribution of technical publications, manuals, and related documentation. This entry-level position is responsible for maintaining technical order libraries in a complete, accurate, and current status in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and security requirements.

The Technical Order Library Clerk I performs routine document control, records management, publication tracking, and library maintenance activities while ensuring technical information is properly received, stored, distributed, inventoried, and safeguarded. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a structured and regulated environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain technical order libraries, publications, manuals, and related records in a complete and current status in accordance with established regulations and procedures.
  • Receive, process, file, route, and distribute incoming technical manuals, publications, updates, and revisions.
  • Review and screen technical documentation to ensure proper routing, tracking, and distribution.
  • Requisition, track, and maintain required technical publications and supporting materials.
  • Monitor dispersed technical libraries and maintain accountability for distributed technical data and publications.
  • Maintain records of publication receipts, revisions, inventories, and distribution activities.
  • Assist with document control functions, including filing, indexing, cataloging, and archival activities.
  • Perform periodic inventories and audits of technical publications and classified media.
  • Ensure technical orders, manuals, and controlled documents are maintained in accordance with applicable retention and records management requirements.
  • Comply with established procedures for the receipt, storage, distribution, inventory, safeguarding, and disposition of classified technical media.
  • Support electronic document management systems and maintain publication databases as required.
  • Identify missing, outdated, or incomplete publications and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accountability of sensitive and classified information.
  • Follow all security, environmental, safety, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other document control, records management, and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0–3 years of experience in administrative support, records management, document control, library services, data management, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and maintain document accountability.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting technical publications, document control, records management, or library operations.
  • Familiarity with government, military, defense contractor, or regulated environments.
  • Experience using electronic document management systems, publication tracking systems, or records databases.
  • Knowledge of technical manuals, engineering documentation, or controlled publications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer workstation.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and handling documents.
  • Ability to read computer screens and printed materials.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and organize technical manuals, publications, and records weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to access filing systems, shelving units, and storage locations as needed.
