Precise Systems, Inc. is seeking a Threat Load Developer Engineer to support the development and testing of threat load programming for countermeasure systems. This position is based at NSWC Crane, which offers comprehensive support for complex military systems in the areas of Electronic Warfare, Strategic Missions, and Expeditionary Warfare. The successful candidate will work closely with teams in signal processing, software development, and system analysis, contributing to the creation and testing of advanced threat load solutions.
Duties:
- Develop signal processing algorithms and waveforms for communications, networking, and electronic warfare systems.
- Design, model, implement, and test algorithm concepts through software.
- Perform radio frequency analysis and surveys of radio-controlled initiators to construct threat loads.
- Develop, test, and deliver new threat load software.
- Use spectrum analyzers to capture test signals for threat load development.
- Work with UTS and Threat Load Configuration Files (TCF) to implement multi-phased software upgrades.
- Conduct analysis of Navy Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and perform diagnostics to resolve system issues.
- Perform unit/system testing for Navy EW systems.
- Coordinate system updates and perform configuration management in collaboration with the OEM.
- Maintain and update system documentation to support configuration management processes.
Desired Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks.
- Extensive experience with MATLAB theory and application.
- Experience with RF device applications and signal processing/protocol testing.
- Strong software coding experience, preferably in C++.
- Understanding of Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (CIED) and Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (CUAS) threats.
- Proficiency in system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Desired Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $66,913.60 to $114,354.72 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
