We are currently seeking a Network System Administrator to support our NSWC customer in Crane, IN. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in cloud infrastructure design and implementation to support various business initiatives and workloads in a compliant and secure environment.
Duties:
- Initial configuration and maintenance (including monitoring) of the SSP Red network.
- Serves as POC for SSP Networks (i.e., SSP Red and SWSNET), collaborating with SPCIO and SWSNET. Local POC for SPCIO for SWSNET/SSP Red matters
- Determine the vulnerability risks for workstations, servers, printers, networks and applications utilizing appropriate Cybersecurity scanning techniques
- Ensure that appropriate STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guide) processes are performed and adhered to.
- Analyze Cybersecurity requirements and support the design, development and integration of software-based solutions where appropriate
- Perform software installation of applications that provide or enhance the security of individual platforms, systems and/or networks
- Provide technical support by conducting analyses and record findings on current patches to ensure compliance status is maintained on RDT&E assets
- Ensure proper configuration and implementation of security controls are maintained to retain the appropriate level of Cybersecurity compliance.
- Provide technical support by generating and providing compliance standard reports and data used in the Assessment & Authorization process
- Provide hardware and software support for RDT&E network connected workstations, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure devices, NMCI Developer assets, applications and printers to ensure that operability requirements are up to date and that the devices meet CS hardware configuration requirements.
- Plan and schedule the installation of hardware, operating systems, and applications software and shall manage computer accounts, privileges, and access to systems and equipment.
- Implement security procedures and tools, develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures, and resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems.
- Manage the installation and integration of systems fixes updates and enhancements and ensures the rigorous application of information security policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services.
- Provide network configuration and documentation including network drawings and hardware and software lists.
- Perform weekly vulnerability scans of network devices; report, fix and/or mitigate findings.
- Perform Local Element (LE) duties and responsibilities to support the Classified networks.
- Configure and implement CS Assessment & Authorization security controls in accordance with local and DOD procedures.
- Input data into relational databases for existing IT asset tracking programs and systems.
- Perform Configuration Management (CM) support by tracking changes to information system and subsystems, establish and maintain CM records, perform audits and analyze audit results, perform life cycle support, and create and maintain documentation of CM processes and work instructions.
- Generate reports of IT assets to assist in response to data calls and for budgeting requirements.
Required Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems is required.
- An IAT Level III Certification (such as CASP+, CCNP, CISA, or CISSP) is required.
- Must hold Cyber Security Workforce Baseline Qualifications for CSWF Specialty Area and Proficiency Level per Section 6.23.2 Cyber Security Workforce Qualifications.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Systems Administration, including at least 3 years of dedicated professional experience in setting up and managing enterprise solutions utilizing Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure Cloud services.
- Practical experience using monitoring and logging tools to guarantee the performance and reliability of cloud workloads.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset to recognize and resolve potential challenges within cloud infrastructure.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
