Description
SAIC is searching for a well-organized, reliable electronics technician to join our excellent company. The job includes diagnosing and repairing electronics, reading manuals and installing new equipment, performing routine servicing and inspections, assisting with electronic upgrades, and reporting to senior management. The candidate will be responsible and provide excellent service and manage electronic systems and equipment efficiently.
Job Duties Include:
- Maintenance & Repair: Diagnosing, repairing, and testing electronic equipment, circuit boards, and systems
- Installation & Fabrication: Assembling, installing, and modifying electronic, electrical, and control systems
- Troubleshooting: Using tools such as soldering irons, multimeters, and oscilloscopes to locate and fix faults
- Documentation & Reporting: Creating maintenance reports, updating manuals, and documenting repairs
- Ensuring compliance with established technical standards, safety regulations, and schematics
Qualifications
Required Education and Skills:
- Associate degree, high school diploma or GED, or technical school training in electronics
- 2 years of relevant experience in electronics or electrical maintenance
- Proficiency in reading circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., in security or AV systems) are preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various environments (office to outdoor/field
Security Requirement:
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance; Interim Secret needed to start
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Desired Experience:
- Hirsch system knowledge is a plus but not required
