Description

  • SAIC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electronics Technician Maintenance III to join our team. The selected candidate will provide technical support in the maintenance, testing, and recertification of subassemblies, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with government and industry standards. This position supports critical engineering and depot-level activities while operating in a classified environment.

  • Duties include but are not limited to:

  • *Conduct acceptance, recertification, and engineering support testing of subassemblies, including Classified subassemblies, ensuring compliance with specifications and requirements.

  • *Create detailed test reports and provide actionable recommendations based on test results to improve system performance and reliability.

  • *Set up, transport, store, and maintain tracking systems for calibrated equipment, including monitoring calibration due dates.

  • *Transport, store, and maintain accurate tracking of subassembly locations to ensure accountability and ready availability.

  • *Assist with inventory tracking of assets, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely updates.

  • *Support quality assurance efforts by reporting and resolving quality issues in a timely manner.

  • *Perform depot procedure reviews and recommend improvements to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.

  • *Provide support for engineering-led investigations, leveraging technical expertise to identify and resolve complex issues.

  • *Operate government vehicles as needed in support of operations.


Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree in Electronics Field of Study

  • Solder Certification: Certified in IPC-A-610 or IPC-J-STD-001 standards. (Obtainable after employment)

  • Security Clearance: Active [Interim Secret, or ability to obtain] clearance required at the time of hire with the ability to maintain clearance throughout employment.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 of progressive technical experience in electronics maintenance, testing, or equivalent roles.

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic subassemblies using industry-standard practices and the ability to use diagnostic equipment (i.e. multimeter, oscilloscope....)

  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and organizational skills to assess test results, maintain inventories, and meet strict deadlines.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to create technical reports and communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with classified or government subassemblies.

  • Familiarity with depot-level procedures and operations.

  • Background in engineering support for electronics.

  • Knowledge of quality control methodologies and systems.
