Description

SAIC is looking for a Logistics Associate to support in F3008 contract at Crane, Indiana supporting the TACP program.

This position will need someone who is highly motivated with the ability to work individually and with small teams.

JOB RESPONSIBLITES:

  • Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS).
  • Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements.
  • May also plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
  • Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes.
  • Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans.

Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s and 0 years’ experience. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be accepted
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
  • Ability to coordinate order tracking of procurements, hardware, machine shop, and cable equipment shipments.
  • Experience with researching parts for procurement using drawings, assembly instructions, and excel documents to find the best price and lead time available for products for government systems.
  • Work in team environment.
  • Experience with Excel spreadsheets and inventory tracking. Understanding of Microsoft applications is a plus.
  • Support receiving or similar assets, scheduling required maintenance, monitoring the maintenance and return of assets to the appropriate activity using current shipping standards, Form DD1149, Form DD1348s,
  • Must possess good oral and written communications skills and be familiar with PC Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Position requires good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift, up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a busy environment
