SAIC is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Associate to support our Weapons Systems Development customer at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane.
In this role, you will apply your expertise in quality assurance, logistics, project management, technical writing, process development, and stakeholder collaboration to drive mission success for our Asymmetric Initiation Systems contractor team, customers and their sponsors. Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform documentation and document control, including development, improvement, management, and oversight of organizational quality documents
- Record Management, Records Custodian to ensure compliance
- Serve as a Quality Focal Point (QFP) for the Crane Management System, supporting quality system operations in alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Develop and maintain the Quality Plan for supported organizations, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, including Navy and DoD requirements
- Standardize, document, and manage functional processes, procedures, and SOPs for quality functions such as document control, customer satisfaction, and metrics
- Identify inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize operations
- Collect, analyze, and provide key metrics to support decision-making and quality system improvement
- Engage with stakeholders, including contractor teams, government representatives, and sponsors to achieve deliverable success in alignment with project goals
- Facilitate meetings, briefings, reviews and collaborative sessions, documenting key action items, and ensuring progress tracking
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of relevant professional experience OR High School diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience in quality, production/operations, logistics, project/program management, or related field
- Experience in quality assurance, planning, stakeholder engagement, and process/task management
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (I.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Analytical mindset, with proficiency in generating actionable insights, making recommendations, and executing optimizations based on data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing
- Proficiency in analyzing data to generate actionable insights and recommendations
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Interim secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
- Experience utilizing tools such as the Crane
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and document management systems
- Successfully completed training or certification in DoD or NSWC Crane quality standards
- Proficiency in software tools such as Adobe Acrobat, FrameMaker, Sharepoint, and/or advanced Microsoft tools
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Possession of an active DoD Security Clearance
