SAIC is seeking a fulltime Security System Technician to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Security System Technician will provide support for day-to-day operations for Commander, Naval Information Force Reserve (CNIFR), in physical security systems design, installation, troubleshooting, logistics and repair of shore based electronic security systems and physical security systems. Typical systems include access control and intrusion detection systems that operate from and are compatible with the infrastructure at each location.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Provide maintenance and technical support required for ancillary facilities, modifications, firmware updates and installation of new Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and security devices in buildings.
- This includes the installation of security systems, digital video surveillance systems, and various security related sensors and devices such as balanced magnetic switches, surveillance cameras and infrared motion detectors as required.
- Provide support for ancillary facilities installation, modifications, yearly maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of Bosch Security Systems, American Dynamics and Pelco Digital Video Surveillance Systems and various security related sensors and devices such as balanced magnetic switches, surveillance cameras and infrared motion detectors.
- Facilitate customer changes, coordinated site review and training, and customer relations follow-up.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two to 3 years of experience in low voltage electronics, and technical skills in CCTV, alarm and access control systems.
- Must be motivated, professional in demeanor, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to cross-train into other types of equipment and systems as required.
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to follow step-by-step instructions to complete tasking.
- Ability to read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Capable of using basic inspection and maintenance tools.
- May be contacted after hours (on personal cell phone) for emergency response support for security issues infrequently.
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:
- Interim secret required to start with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
