Description
SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer with focus on Radio Frequency principals to support the Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane under the JCREW program. In this role, you will design, integrate, and evaluate RF and electronic warfare technologies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to analyze signals, conduct lab and field testing, and deliver key engineering recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development, integration, testing, and evaluation of RF/EW systems and test infrastructure.
- Analyze RF hardware architectures, including transmit/receive chains and interfaces.
- Use lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators) to measure and evaluate signals.
- Support lab and field testing, handling setup, execution, troubleshooting, and post-test analysis.
- Perform RF signal analysis, waveform generation, modulation assessment, and RF propagation modeling.
- Provide recommendations to improve test rigor, repeatability, and mission relevance.
- Partner with multidisciplinary systems, software, and modeling teams.
- Author test procedures, technical briefs, and documentation to support decision-making.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (specialization in microwave, RF, electromagnetics, or communications preferred).
- 3+ years in RF/microwave design, RF systems engineering, or RF testing.
- Practical knowledge of RF propagation, modulation schemes, waveform analysis, and hands-on lab equipment usage.
- Strong technical writing, communication, independent task management, and data analysis.
- U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with EW, wireless, RF propagation, or over-the-air testing.
- Familiarity with Software-Defined Radios (SDR), DSP, or FPGA-based systems.
- Experience with RF simulation, verification and validation, or test infrastructure development.
- Experience drafting test plans and reports; familiarity with secure laboratory environments.
