This role:

Simtra is seeking highly motivated undergraduate students for our Summer Internship Program. We look for diverse students with inquisitive minds and the desire to challenge themselves. Our interns work closely with industry professionals and learn quickly how to problem solve on real-world projects that contribute to clinical research and manufacturing processes. In addition to on-the-job experience, we offer learning sessions with top leadership, site visits to local projects and social events.

The Opportunity
The Supply Chain team focuses logistics, procurement, inventory management, and distribution. This team performs demand planning, inventory management, supplier management, tracks and receives shipments, optimizes, distribution networks, and reduces lead times.

The intern will gain hands-on experience in the supply chain operations organization. They will work with industry professionals and gain exposure to the global supply chain system.

The intern will work on the following projects:
- Assisting with implementation of a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to include: SOP revisions, training, inventory control, report development for supply chain groups
- Warehouse optimization - working on incoming/outgoing supply chain to design and develop working flow of capacity and layout, including EC (environmental chambers) layout within each manufacturing site

Required qualifications:

• Pursuing a BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
• Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
• Stong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail including the ability to accomplish a task
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP systems (i.e., SAP, Oracle), and data analysis tools
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated, self-driven individual with passion working within pharmaceutical industry
