Job purpose
- The primary function of this position is the responsibility of our EHS program and the training/leading of the TPS activities. Will work to meet standards of quality in accordance with ISO 14001, IATF or any TASUS Quality Management System.
Duties and responsibilities
- Oversee Safety & ISO 14001 Environmental program
- Lead and facilitate TPS teams to include coordinating and conducting TPS training
- Audit TASUS facilities for compliance with Environmental and OSHA requirements
- Create & conducts classroom trainings of TASUS safety policies and procedures
- Arrange for periodic training of staff, including first-aid/CPR, forklift operation licensing, power lock-out, and ergonomics as needed.
- Conduct regular review of the injury/illness log and prepare necessary documentation
- Assist in routine functions of the Human Resources department
Qualifications
- Minimum two-year associate degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety and/or environmental program or education experience (?)
- General OSHA training
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to lead
- Demonstrate foresight to be proactive in safety and environmental.
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification preferred
