Job purpose

• This position is responsible for supporting dimensional product layouts, performing product verifications and process capabilities.

Duties and responsibilities

• Works with operations and all departments in order to guide and direct the activities necessary to standards of quality in accordance with the TASUS Quality Management System
• Assists the Quality Manager in creating a plant wide environment which champions quality in all aspects of products, services and personal relationships
• Will be an active participant in Quality Planning Meetings for products specific to customer requirements, prior to reach the initial sampling and production phases.
• Responsible for calibration of measuring equipment throughout the plant.
• Assist with gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
• Perform dimensional layouts on printed products and plastic products.
• Responsible for verifying and assisting in design of GO/NOGO gages as needed
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Capable of reading and using blueprints and geometric symbols.
• Assist with materials testing.
• Clean and maintain CMM, measuring equipment, and testing equipment.
• Assist with process capability studies.
• Work closely and cooperatively in a team effort with other employees.
• Strive for continual improvement through thought and innovation.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Three years minimum experience in manufacturing environment
• Three years minimum of CMM machine experience
• Strong Mathematical skills
• Mastery in the use of PC-based software such as word processing, spreadsheets and project planning
• Knowledge and experienced use of continuous improvement skills and problem solving skills
