Job purpose

• This position is responsible for that team that maintains the inventory of warehouse materials, receiving materials and the storing of them in the proper area.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for all Warehouse Technicians and Warehouse Coordinators on shift and the staffing and work load fluctuations of this department.
• Responsible for the daily activities in the warehouse, including shipping/receiving and delivery.
• Responsible for inputting accurate physical inventory and production information for computer input.

• Coordinate shipping dates and available inventory with purchasing, scheduling and carriers to guarantee on time shipments.
• Knowledge of carriers and their type of services available, required documents and information, both domestic and international.
• Know specific customer shipping information and requirements.
• Manages preparation of items for shipment, to include proper container, banding, taping, stretch wrapping and labeling based upon customer specifications and mode of transportation.
• Responsible for the organization and housekeeping of the warehouse

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Warehouse experience
• Supervisory experience
• Basic knowledge of MRP-Inventory Control Systems
• Basic math skills

Physical requirements

• Standing, walking, reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, maneuvering up to 70lbs, etc.
