Job purpose

  • This position maintains and enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and procedures. This position actively supports TASUS’/ Tsuchiya’s mission, vision, strategic goals, objectives, and systems.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Management Representative for ISO 14001 Environmental program and OSHA Requirements.
  • Promotes and boosts high employee morale. Lead planner for company events. Establishes collaborative relationships with department management, providing regulatory guidance, consultation and subject matter expertise as needed.
  • Plans and coordinates the workforce to best use employees' talents
  • Manages all recruiting, interviewing, hiring and new hire relocation activities. Establishes a recruiting and interviewing program. Makes recommendations in staffing needs and organizational structure based on the budget.
  • Responsible for submitting any employee job related changes/new hire paperwork to Corporate HR.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements. Advises managers on policies like equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment
  • Conducts investigations for employee complaints, if necessary
  • Resolves issues between management and employees
  • Administers all benefit programs and eligibility activities such as open enrollment, changes and terms. Supports our commitment for highest quality benefits at the lowest cost.
  • Develops and/or selects, in conjunction with necessary staff, appropriate training programs for workforce needs.
  • Works with the TPS Champion, Plant Manager and Manufacturing team in leading the Toyota Production System.
  • Tracks and analyzes all HR metrics.
  • Handles various administrative duties from payroll, mail, petty cash and office supplies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required
  • 7+ years of experience in human resource management
  • 3+ years of employee relations
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM Certification required
