Description
Weare seeking a dedicated Systems Integration Engineer to join our team. This position will provide system integration and technical support for the Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) program, with a focus on the Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) Family of Systems (FoS) Future Weapon System (FWS). This role supports software and network integration, system configuration, engineering events, and troubleshooting activities across government and contractor facilities. The candidate will work closely with engineers, vendors, program office representatives, and operational units to ensure mission-critical software systems are effectively integrated, maintained, and enhanced. The position also includes Tier 3 technical support responsibilities to resolve complex software and system issues impacting operational capabilities. This is a Hybrid position.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide system integration support for GBAD systems, including software installation, configuration, and network setup at government and contractor facilities.
- Support development, engineering, and integration of the Common Software Baseline during test events, engineering events, and system acceptance events.
- Perform software integration, configuration, and troubleshooting activities in support of MADIS FoS Future Weapon System capabilities.
- Assist with engineering and integration activities related to: Software baseline updates, Software futures development, and Technology refresh initiatives.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the MADIS FWS system architecture, software capabilities, and supporting subsystems.
- Provide technical guidance on the integration of current and future software components and enhancements.
- Ensure software development and enhancement decisions align with project objectives and operational mission effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and program stakeholders to ensure system performance in mission-critical environments.
- Provide Tier 3 help desk support by coordinating directly with SSA entities to receive and resolve escalated cases.
- Replicate system issues to diagnose root causes and work with software developers and testers to identify solutions.
- Develop and deliver resolution procedures and technical guidance to SSA personnel and help desk teams.
- Maintain communication with program stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with vendors supporting the GBAD Program Office to address system integration issues and technical discussions.
- Communicate technical requirements and operational needs between fleet operators and program office personnel.
- Provide technical documentation, integration support, and engineering insight during system events and deployments.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience with MADIS FWS software architecture and capabilities.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with MADIS FWS network architecture.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with MADIS FWS subsystems and their implementation with PDSS software, including systems such as: Kongsberg Remote Weapons Station, RADA RPS-62 Radar, CACI CM262.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with MADIS FWS inertial navigation units and their integration with tactical systems and subsystem data flows.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical requirements and solutions to both Fleet operators and Program Office representatives.
- Prior U.S. Marine Corps 5900 occupational field experience.
- Working knowledge of vendors supporting the GBAD Program Office and ability to coordinate technical discussions with appropriate stakeholders.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a active security clearance.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or similar field.
- Must already have or be able to obtain a CompTIA Security Plus prior to start date.
